Twelve Shots

Flash: This video is fun to shoot, because people get to see their reactions up close and they can be funny at times.

Point Of View: This video is interesting, because it give the viewer the illusion as if it were actually them in the scene from the point of view of the characters eyes.

Low Angle Shot: This angle gives the makes the subject seem taller and it also gives more height to the buildings in the background. This angle would have been fun to shoot in a a city with big buildings in the background.

Pan Shot: This shot is nice, because it is able to capture the scenery in the area. This shot would be good when out in nature.

Full Shot (FS): A full shot would be nice when trying to show a subjects  full outfit or them performing a stunt as such.

Extreme Close-Up: This enables the viewer to see all the fine details of an object as well as the coloration.

Cameo Shot: This shot is nice in the way that the characters are the ones being focused on as there is no motion or anything distracting in background.

Choker: this shot is similar to the cameo shot, however we are more zoomed into the subjects showing more detail and it contains hardly no background as the subject takes up the majority of the space.

Dolly: This shot was difficult for me to film as it was hard to keep the camera steady as I walked forward towards the subject. A rolling  chair or a track in which the camera can move smoothly would have made it a lot easier.

Close- Up (CU): I like this shot because when in a movie the focus on the object can potentially show that the object may have a significant value.

Close Shot (CS):  This is similar to the Cameo shot where the subject is shown from mid waist to the top of the head, however the background does not have to be neutral.

High Angle Shot: this is a cool shot where one can look at the subjects from above. This would be a cool shot to do from up top a higher building observing the the subjects below.

Comments

  1. I enjoyed the high angle shot. The shot made me feel like I was an onlookers that was not really involved in the emotion of the shot yet.
The low angle shot was pleasant to watch. It made me feel that the character is bigger than they are in real life. This shot made me feel disoriented because of the angle it was taken at.
I found the dolly shot entertaining because it made me feel like something was going to happen to the characters because there could possibly be someone or something behind the camera.
The pan shot was enjoyable to watch because it made me turn my head and want to see more. The pan shot made me feel like I was in a virtual reality game because I was able to see most of the scenery.

  2. 1. I really enjoyed the flash shot because the subjects face was really funny. The angle was really nice and you got a good view of her reaction to something off camera.
    2. I thought the chocker shot was done very well. You were right up close and personal, which really gave us a good view of the subject. We could see all of their emotion and detail which was nice.
    3. The high angle shot was done very well. I couldn’t do this shot but you executed it very well. the shot was high enough where we felt we were overlooking, but close enough so we could watch the scene play out.
    4. The close shot was very nice. It gave us a good view of the subject but also had a nice background as well. We could see the subject and their surroundings as well, while still staying focused.
