Five Master Shots shown in film

Parallelism

I found the example of parallelism in the original movie of the Lion King. In this short clip we can see Timon, Pumba, and Simba walking across a log. In this particular movie clip there is a very smooth transition demonstrating the aging of Simba from a small lion cub into a an adult lion.

Symbolism

In the original movie of The Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent set a curse upon Rose dictating that on her 16th birthday she shall prick her finger on the spindle and die. The symbol in this case would be the spindle, because in this movie the spindle means death. Her father the king burned all the spindles in the kingdom, however this did not stop the curse from occurring and Rose from pricking her finger later on in the movie and falling into a deep sleep like trance.

Leit Motiff

In the movie The Incredibles, when ever any form of action is going to occur one can hear an energetic melody of trumpets (I think that is what that instrument is) playing in the background, making it a Leit Motiff.

Simultaneity

In the movie The Parent Trap staring Lindsey Lohan, we can see an example of simultaneity occurring when the two twins are on a phone call with each other. Both of twins are in completely different scenes and each of them are experiencing different problems at the same time as each other.

Contrast

In this short clip from the Netflix series Thirteen Reasons Why, we see contrast because the viewer is focusing on Mrs. Baker walking into the sheriffs office and then there is a quick change in scene and in character. All of a sudden the viewer is looking at Anni being interrogated by the police.
